Meltwater Records is a new  global electronica  label. Our aim is to release a variety of electronic music from artists around the world who are linked together by an interest in fusing the synthetic with the organic, along with a desire to embrace and explore the future of electronic music.
 
Having spent the past 18 months scouring the globe, Meltwater believes it has brought together some of the most exciting and innovative new artists working in  electronics: artists whose work is unified by  the manipulation and fracture of found-sounds.
 
All Meltwater releases will be beautifully presented and packaged using the Digipack format.

-Meltwater Records are finalising global distribution for all forthcoming releases.
 
-Meltwater Records will launch on 16th June 2008  with  renfro's 'mathematics'.  renfro are  busy carving out a uniquely innovative take on found sound dreampop.
 
-Coming soon; ‘Phenotype’ A sampler/compilation album featuring 14 tracks from 9 different artists. This release will define the future sound & direction of the label and will also serve as a full introduction to the Meltwater family of artists.
 
-Two EPs of interpretive remixes, including contributions by artists from Kitty Yo, Morr Music and BPitch Control, mutating and reconstructing  renfro songs. Currently in preparation for release  Autumn 2008 following 'mathematics'
